| Mir Injures Himself to avoid a beating at the hands of Brock Lesnar |
[Mar. 6th, 2009|06:27 pm] |
Oliver Copp , of TNM wrestling simulator fame and UFC German Commentator is has reported, that the Mir/Lesnar fight in May is probably off due to Frank Mir injuring himself. Boo! I was looking foward to that fight.
Interesting tidbit on Oliver Copp and TNM though. The entire reason TNM was ever created was because Jim Cornette told Oliver that he could not see himself spending more than 5 minutes in front of a computer. So Oliver made a bet with Jim that he could find something to keep him in front of a computer for more than 5 minutes. Oliver ended up making the TNM Wrestling Simulator, and won the bet with Jim Cornette, who apparently spent hours with that game. |

I just added 5 people as totally random people on Myspace as friends, and I have zero idea how they found me. I have no mutual friends with them, unlike the girls that found me through Matt Hardy. They are from various parts of the county. I just found it odd really. I found if my profile popped up on the front page of MySpace or something. And they are actually human beings too, not pornbots either. Since somehow I've became rather popular, I'd just like to know why.
Edit: Since posting this I receive 4 more friend request from random people, this is just getting wacky. |

Brock Lesnar tko'ed Randy Couture to win the UFC Heavyweight, and the MMA Message Boards are having a fit, and I think at any moment may bring out the razors and start cutting themselves to numb the pain. It puts a smile on my face. :) |

I just read today, Wizkids Games, makers of Heroclix, is ceasing operations. Not to to surprising really. I haven't played Heroclix in probably 6 months, and I know I quite a few former players as well. As the game evolved, it lost it's appeal as a wacky little game to have fun with on the weekends. Once it hit the point where going to a venue to play felt like worked I stopped playing and never looked back. It's kinda sad, since the game did bring me a lot of enjoyment, but I kinda saw it coming. I'm sure Heroclix will exist in some format, it was Wizkids one profitable brand. It will probably be sold off to someone else. As for the rest of Wizkids games, they my just disappear into the ether. It kinda does explain the depressed Heroclix prices in the after market, though. I've been selling off some of my Clix since they are just collecting dust, and I've notice the after market prices I drops a lot in the past month or so.
Anyways, Wizkids, it was a pleasure playing your games, and may they live on even though, your no longer with us.
Dear God, I just eulogized a Gaming Company...I'm such a dork. What's next, me reminiscing about Data East, the no longer with us, the makers of the awesome WWF Royal Rumble Pinball Game? |

| The War is Over |
[Nov. 2nd, 2008|11:38 pm] |
|
The war is over, the evil Xbox 360 is victorious. I've dropped $85 on this thing and it still doesn't work. The tinkering is not fun anymore and I have no desire to work on it. I've wasted too much time in on this endeavor. Today was my first day off, between work and wrestling, in 3 weeks, and I spent it working on a stupid 360. I'm putting it up on ebay now and hoping I can make some of my money back. |

| Grrrr..... |
[Nov. 2nd, 2008|06:05 pm] |
My Xbox 360 is fuck up now. I had it all working good, replaced the DVD with a new one and all was well. $75 plus a little time and it was working great. Then today I play it with it a bit, tested a few things then, the screen distorts. I shut it off and turn it back on, E74 error. FUCK! This seems to be some mythical error, noone was quite figured out, but most say the X-Clamp Fix tends to fix it. Well apparently the parts for said fix are nigh impossible to come by. Why the hell are 1mm thick washers so hard to find? Anyways, I'm annoyed greatly, and about ready to say fuck this whole experiment and sell it on eBay. Hell I got a free 512 memory card from Microsoft, so I should actually be able to sell everything and break even or turn a profit.
I'm greatly annoyed right now, having spent so much time on this thing. Why the fuck Microsoft thought the X-Clamps would make for a good cooling solution is beyond me. Fucking shitty ass design.GRRRRR!
EDIT: Matt-2 Xbox 360-0
I pulled up a different version of the X-Clamp fix, and this time Home Depot did have the parts. So I X-Clamped my 360 and it's now working. Yay! Now the question is for how long? Now the cost of this Xbox is $85 after buying some thermal paste and various screws and washers at Home Depot. Not a bad price for a 360. I pity anyone who bought one at launch for retail price, because there are thermal flaws like all get out, in it.
Edit: Matt-1 Xbox-360-1 Yeah I managed to get it working, but it can only manage a few minutes before the dashboard starts glitching. And when I shut it down and restart after the glitch it's E74 again. Son of a bitch. I'm extremely close to ebaying the piece of crap. I just need to delete my xbox live info, on the memory card. |

| A Xbox 360 is mine! |
[Oct. 22nd, 2008|11:16 am] |
I just bought an XBox 360 off Craigslist for $20. It's broken, in that the DVD drive does not work, but it does not have the RROD. It doesn't come with AV cables or a power brick, but I should be able to pick up both for $30-$40. He is also throwing in a controller.
I pretty sure I can easily fix the dvd problem. It''s either a broken belt or a laser needs replaced, most likely. I should be able to fix either one. Plus while I have it open, I can make a few mods that should be able to prevent the RROD from happening.
I'm also just a giant dork when it comes to fixing video game consoles. I find it enjoyable in someways. I've opened and repaired the original NES, a PS1, a PS2, and the original XBOX. So it's about time I've tinkered with a next gen console.
Here's hoping I can get it working. If not I can probably sell it on E-Bay broken and get my money back. So at worse, I get to spend time tinkering on a 360 and sell it when I'm bored.
Yay for broken things on Craigslist! |

| Bigger, Stronger, Faster |
[Oct. 1st, 2008|11:02 pm] |
I'm in the process of watching the documentary, "Bigger, Stronger, Faster". It's about steroid use in America, and I've noticed something about 2/3rds into the movie....The people that are anti-steroid are retard monkeys. From the Senator, who didn't know if steroids were legal for some uses or totally banned. It was this senator that ran the Congressional Hearings on Steroids in Sports. Shouldn't he know the classification of Steroids. And did you know when steroids where banned back in 1989, Congress went against the advice of the FDA, DEA, and AMA. They said keep them legal. They also showed the father of a 17 year old baseball player, that committed suicide. This father is convinced steroids are the reason he committed suicide. Even though his son was also taking Lexipor, which has a side effect of suicidal thoughts. The father basically said, I don't care what any studies or research says. Steroids killed my son, and I'm not changing my mind at all. In other words fuck your facts, logic or reason, I'm going with my heart.
Sorry making legistation based on emotions gives us Bullshit like the fucked up alcohol regulations and DUI laws, thank you MADD for that. Since noone will stand up to a crying mother and say "NO! YOUR NOT THINKING RATIONALLY!" You just want to bitch slap these people and say get a grip, yeah it what happened really really sucks, but get don't go fucking it up for everyone else, because you can't cope with loss. And I'm not alone in my distaste for MADD, did you know the founder of MADD left the organization because she thought it was overtaken by a bunch of neo-prohibitionist?
Anyways, the documentary is so far awesome. I highly recommend it. Go in with an open mind and you'll find it enlightening. |

| | amused | ] | I'm watching the Francine and Tammy Sytch. It's incredible. I'm a huge Tammy mark, going back to her starting with the WWF. I've met her twice and she's a sweetie. I've met Francine a few times, and she was nice as well. Anyways, they are good friends and play off each other great. It makes for an entertaining 2 1/2 hours. Well towards the end of the interview, Tammy farts on camera. Tammy starts laughing hysterically, Francine loses it, Rob Feinstein starts laughing, and it spawns a 5 minute discussion about wrestling fart stories. It's just so wacky and random it was a great way to end the video.
Hopefully Tommy Dreamer doesn't watch this video, because according to Tammy and Francine, in Tommy's world girls do not fart or poop. |

I just realized something. I've had a quite a few random girls friend me on myspace. They weren't bots, actually real people, but I have no clue who these girls. Then I realize we do have a mutal "friend" on MySpace. Matt Hardy. So i'm guessing they found me off Matt Hardy's MySpace. I just find it odd that I've had an influx a girls on MySpace friend me via Matt Hardy.
So anyways, guys, if you want random MySpace girls to friend you, friend your ECW Heavyweight Champion, Matt Hardy. |

"..everyone likes the Beatles."
Ugghh NOOOOOOOO! I can't stand the Beatles, never had either. I plain don't get them. I don't like their sound, I could careless about their great lyrics with the deep meanings. I get an infinite amount of more enjoyment from disposable pop music, the "great" Beatles.
If only Yoko would have killed the band earlier, I wouldn't have to put with the giant blow job everyone gives the Beatles now adays. |
